This was formerly known as the Legion Hall and featured roller skating on the
weekends which was always a favorite pastime for the kids of the community.
They used to let the school kids out for the John Deere Day movies that were
shown here for many years. The benches were nothing more than wooden planks
precariously supported by empty nail kegs. After a couple of hours of movies
the guests were then serenaded with performances by the Kitchen Cuties Band.
The free noon meal was a welcome break and the food was always tasty.
